Why Chamak Foundation ?
The establishment of Chamak Foundation (Chamak Padhai Se) NGO is deeply rooted in the life journey of Dr. Mohammad Azam Ali—a journey marked by hardship, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to education and social transformation.
Dr. Azam Ali was born into a very poor background and faced numerous challenges during his early life. Due to severe financial constraints and unavoidable circumstances, he was forced to discontinue his education at one point. However, a few transformative incidents reignited his determination, motivating him to resume his academic journey.
With remarkable perseverance, dedication, and hard work, he successfully completed his M.A., M.Ed., and Ph.D., eventually achieving his goal of becoming an Assistant Professor. His personal struggles helped him realize the true power of education as a tool for empowerment and social change.
Inspired by the powerful words of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad—
"Agar tum sirf apne liye zinda ho toh iska matlab yahi hai ke tum apni qaum ke liye zinda laash ho"—
and the visionary guidance of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam—
"Aap badho, desh ko badhao"—
Dr. Azam Ali felt a strong moral responsibility to give back to society.
Driven by this vision, he founded Chamak Foundation (Chamak Padhai Se) on 23rd October 2023 in Hyderabad, in the presence of Shantha Sinha, a renowned social activist and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee. Chamak Foundation ( Chamak Padhai Se) is a registered 643/2023 Non-Profit Organization based in the Telangana State. The word "Chamak " means "Shine" in Hindi. ( Shine through Education)
